Francis was enjoying all the attention he was getting from the girls in his class but he never meant to chase Arthur away from his spot. However pleasant the attention was, it was also hard to focus during the lesson when he had at least one giggling girl next to him or another gazing at him. He very much would have preferred Arthur as his neighbour right now.

Whenever Arthur glanced over at Francis, he always noticed him not paying attention to the lesson, rather the girls. Feeling just a little bad, he walked up to Francis after class and said, "If you need any help catching up, I'll help you." He ignored all of the girls when he got front and center with Francis.

Francis perked up at Arthur's suggestion. "Really? You wouldn't mind?" he asked him checking to be sure. "That'd be great, thank you." he said completely ignoring the girls around them as well. School was more important than attention right now. He didn't want to fall behind on his first day already.

Arthur minded a little, but he figured he'd be nice, since none of the others seemed willing to actually be helpful. He though he's just help him get caught up, then Francis could go on to be a popular kid, and he wouldn't be bothered again. Arthur wasn't always trying to be rude; he just liked being alone most of the time. "You're welcome," he finally replied.

Francis flashed the English boy a wide charming smile. The classes then continued and Francis was so glad Arthur was willing to help after classes. "Want to study in the library later?" he asked him. It seemed a more suitable and quiet place for him to catch up.

"Sure," Arthur said, feeling conflicted over how he felt about not being offered to study at Francis' place. Of course, he told himself that the less time he had to spend with anyone the better. But he returned the smile with a small, slightly smug one of his own.

On contrary belief, Francis didn't just invite stangers over at his place. Especially not after just transferring from France. "Alright..uh you do have to lead the way since I don't even know where the exit is." he said with a soft laugh.

Arthur led Francis towards the library, trying to keep up good conversation on the way. "You'll learn your way around soon enough," he said. When they reached the library, Arthur opened the door and held it for France out of habit.

Francis quickly followed after Arthur. "I hope so. Thanks for helping me." he said honestly grateful that Arthur was willing to help him. "Thanks." he said again when Arthur held the door open. Together they went to sit at a table.

"You're welcome," Arthur said twice. "Should we just go over everything you've missed so far and make sure you're caught up?" he asked as he took a seat next to Francis at the table.
