Lightning simply laughed at Mater before pulling into the pit and stopping at his spot. "Remember what I taught you kid. You only got one shot at this so don't screw it up." Doc said to Lightning and he gave a curt nod, taking off down the pit strip and back into the race. He easily caught up to Chick and The King, passing them then going around the track until he was behind Chick, now on the Lead Lap.

Chick growled in annoyance, blocking Lightning and then smacking into him when the rookie tried to pass him.

Lightning tried passing Chick on the left and just as the older racer came at him to slow him down, he slowed enough for Chick to pass him harmlessly. He then did the same on Chicks right.

Chick then clipped Lightning, hoping to make the red stock car spin out.

Lightning indeed spun out, making him be backwards but that made him smirk. Driving backwards, he caught back up to Chick until he was ahead of the bright green racer before grinning. He winked once then spun back around, speeding forward.

Lightning made a surprised face when he was clipped, making him head for the dirt. Smirking, he drifted nearly perfect and gained his position again, smiling when Doc cheered for him. "Floatin' like a Cadillac..." Doc started. "Stingin' like a Beemer." Lughtning finished as he sped off, still behind The King.
