Sheriff had finally caught up, clearly out of breath. "You're in a heap of trouble, kid." He growled in a rather pissed off manner.
"Well...looks like he did a pretty good job messing up the road." Aeris muttered, tapping at the ruined asphalt with a tire. "He must have a very powerful engine to cause so much damage," he said while observing the now un-drivable road, tilting his hood slightly like a curious dog. "He would have to have horsepower pretty close to his engine block size."

Aero grunted in agreement. "Looks like I can't leave in the morning..." He growled and glared at the now unconscious racecar.

Lightning woke up groggily and with a roaring ache all over his body, like someone put hum in a metal grinder and cranked it all the way up. Light blue eyes slowly focused on nothing. Literally. Besides a fence and some scraps around him, he could see nothing but desert. "Wha--? He tried rolling forward to get a better look at his surroundings but was stopped. "Huh? What?" The red racer said when he found a parking boot on his back{?} left tire.

Mater, who was parked in-front of the gate, noticed Lightning waking up. "Well hi dere! I though chu were never gunna wake up!" He said happily, his tow cable wagging like a dog's tail.
Aeris yawned as he rolled over to Mater, blinking the last traces of sleepiness from his eyes. Sheriff had specifically told him to be company with Mater while the Tow Truck was with Lightning, stating that Mater would accidentally do something he didn't mean to do. Not that Aeris minded. He found the Tow Truck funny and kind.

Lightning gave him a look, blinking like he was speaking a foreign language. Spitting the other car, he hopped forward a bit. "Where... Am I?" He asked, eyes shifting between the tow truck and hybrid.

(okai! Fine with me  ) "Radiator Springs." Aeris stated, obviously not from around here with that British accent of his. He stayed silent for a moment then added, "you've got a powerful engine. Are you a racer?" He asked, simply curious. The young hybrid always wanted to be a racer, but he couldn't with the current over-heating problem he had. |

Lightning glanced to the hybrid when he spoke. "Where?" He asked, though it was a rhetorical question. At Aeris' question, he gave the other car a look that read, "Really? You just asked that question?" before replying. "You don't recognize me? Of course I'm a racer."
