Aeris just stared at him with a blank expression, before it finally clicked. "Sorry, a lots been happening lately...you're Lightning McQueen, right? I watch the races a lot..." He admitted, shifting a tire uncomfortably.

"Yeah..." Lightning chuckled. "That's me. Say, if you'll let me out, I can show you a few things about racing, if you want." He said, smiling, hoping the other car let him out.

Aeris hesitated, standing next to the button so Mater wouldn't be able to get to it. "I don't want to get into trouble on my second day here..." He sounded like he wanted to say more, but debating on if he should say it or not. After a few moments of silence, he said quietly, "I can't race anyway...there's a-uh...slight overheating problem I have."

The red racer was about to speak when a medium sized car drove up. "He wouldn't help you even if you didn't over-heat." The dark blue car growled. Lightning definitely didn't like him. "He'll take off as soon as that parking boots off and that gate is open. He's just like all the other self-centered, cocky, arrogant racers in this world."

"Hey Doc!" Mater said happily, unaware of the tense atmosphere.
Aeris tilted his hood slightly, as if confused. Strip Weathers surely didn't fit that description. He didn't bother to say anything, however, not wanting to make Doc mad.

Aero didn't greet Mater back and simply backed up, driving back to Radiator Springs. "Oh, and Doc wants you two to bring him to the court house." He added.

"Well, I guess you know what to do Mater." Aeris said as he pressed the button. Mater simply nodded and started rambling random things as he towed Lightning to the court house.

Lightning grumbled to himself as he was towed, very much not liking being towed.
Aero waited impatiently in the Court Room for Mater and Aeris with Lightning.

Aeris came in last as Mater towed Lightning to his spot. He parked by Aero, knowing him longer than the others.

Lightning sighed and looked around, ignoring the yelling and griping he was getting from the towns folk. When doors behind the judge stand slammed open and a voice started yelling loudly, easily silencing everyone, was when Lightning started getting worried. If the judge had that affect on these guys, imagine how much he'd rip into Lightning.
Doc was yelling incoherent, profanities and grouching about whoever destroyed the road. He raised up enough to see over the stand and stopped talking mid-sentence to glare at Lightning. "Get him out of my town immediately. Case adjourned." He growled and went to lower himself.
