Doc gave Mater a look then glanced at Aeris. "No. We siphoned his gas before he woke up. He won't get far. "

Sheriff laughed as Lightning ran out of gas then started freaking out. "We're not stupid, city boy!" He said, obviously in a good mood. Sally jumped in by saying, "we siphoned your gas before you woke up."
Aeris simply nodded, and waited with the others until Lightning was brought back.

Lightning huffed and waited to be towed back to the town. He'd give them some credit for thinking ahead.

Lightning woke up slowly. He was groggy and more tired than usual since he had to scrape up the asphalt all night, meaning he was back to square one. Now he was waiting for Mater to come get him so he could get back to work.

Mater happily hooked him back up to the machine, blabbering away about random things.

Lightning struggled forward some more, Bessie trailing behind him slowly. When a bubble formed on Bessies' pipe and exploded, it got asphalt on his hood. "Ah no!" He complained then looked around. "Hey you! Big red! Can I get a... Where you goin'?" Lightning watched Red back away from him, almost like he was scared.
