Welcome to Pack of Raining Starlight. We look forward to seeing you join our ranks.

Belief System: The Pack of Raining Starlight believes that when wolves die, they go to another world known as Astrallia. From there, they can see some of what will come in the future and send warnings, messages, and other such things through astronomical symbols, such as shooting stars, eclipses, and other such things. They are known as the pack of raining starlight because every new moon night, if the pack has done nothing to displease their ancestors, the night sky is filled with thousands upon thousands of shooting stars.

Pack Rules:
1. Listen to any wolves ranked high than you.
2. Alpha's word is law.
3. Don't kill packmates unless there is a formal rank challenge.
4. Do not show cowardice or weakness.
5. All wolves must work for the good of the pack-- no slacking!

As for OOC rules, just follow the forum rules. This isn't in the mature board so no explicit mating or excessive bloodiness/goriness.

Ranks Explained:
Alphas: The leaders of the pack. Usually a mated pair, but not always.
Betas: The second in commands, so to speak. Usually two mated pairs. The stronger of the pairs succeeds to Alpha when the Alphas die. The two Beta pairs fight it out if need be.
Gammas: The spiritual and healing wolves of the pack. There can be up to four at any one time, usually two trainees and two full gammas. They identify and translate the communications of the pack's ancestors, and also heal their packmates. They use a combination of herbal remedies and the powers vested in them by the wolves of Astrallia. Using their powers takes energy. The most they can do is bring a wolf back into a relatively 'safe' condition. For example, lowering a high fever caused by infection, setting a bone, or renewing blood after a lot has been lost from a wound. The more that is done, the more cost to the wolf doing it. The closer the wolf they save is to death, the more likely they are to die. 
Xis: The ordinary wolves of the pack. When a new Beta pair is needed, the other Xis nominate them.
Trainees: In training to become Xis. Once they are four months old they can become trainees. All Xis share their training.
Matriarchs: She-wolves nursing or expecting pups.
Pups: Young wolves, under four months old, that are still with their mother.

Lionheart: A rank given to any Xi who proves himself/herself to be especially brave. It is very rare because only a sign from the wolves of Astrallia can give it out. (No wolf will start with this at the beginning of the RP but there will be chances to earn them as the plot moves forward)
