Arthur gave Berwald an odd look as he ran away from him. Did Berwald really think that he was infected? Understanding why he would think that, Arthur ran after him and shouted to him "Berwald I'm not infected, please stop!". Seeing that he tripped, he wonder if he somehow accidentally used some magic on him. Arthur went up to the fallen male and reached a hand out towards him "Need a hand, git?" He said in a soft tone

Madeline was still hopelessly staring ahead at the white horizon when the sound of footsteps caught her attention quickly. She could just barely hear them over the howling wind, but they were still there. Quickly, she drew her gun from her pocket and turned around from where the faint sound was coming from, her hands shaking noticeably. She saw the outline of a figure as it steadily grew clearer and clearer. Her shaking hands dropped the gun and her mouth opened slightly as if she was going to say something but couldn't get the words out, bottom lip starting to quiver slightly seconds later. "Ivan.. you're not.. not.. i-infected.. are you.. ?" She managed to stutter out, but had to speak loudly to make herself heard over the wind. Madeline wished she hadn't have dropped her gun, but she didn't thing she could bring herself to shoot anyone. Especially Ivan. Nevertheless, she was poised to flee at any moment.
Matthias was abruptly snapped out of his cloud-watching at the sound of a sharp cry from a bird. A familiar cry. Mr. Puffin? He quickly sat up, looking around for the odd bird. Once the Dane had spotted it, he let out a short laugh. "Mr. Puffin.. does that mean lil' Icey's still alive, somewhere?" He mused, tapping his chin thoughtfully. He grinned and suddenly jumped to his feet. "Come on, bird, lead the way!" He declared, axe held high in the air with a mischievous glint of adventure in his eyes.
Monika was about to speak to the figure, but it turned and hightailed it. Her polite and refined expression now turned into a scowl. "Hey, vait up! I'm not vone of zem!" She shouted, breaking into a run after him. Moments later, she realized who it was by the flapping of the dark blue coat, his brown hair, and of course the wimpy way he didn't even try and speak to her to see if she was infected or not. "Roderich, it's me, Monika!" She added, gaining ground on him more easily than she'd thought. Then again, he wasn't really cut out for physical exertion and she was.
Leon froze as something moved out of the corner of his eye. He didn't have any weapons on him and from the looks of it.. it was another one of them. He cursed something unintelligible under his breath and broke off in a sprint down the street. He was sick of running, but he had no other option. One of the only thoughts that kept him going was the thought of his best friend and the hope that me still might be alive somewhere. After nearly fifteen minutes of running, Leon had successfully shaken off his pursuer, and was leaned against the side of a building, panting for breath and on a sharp lookout for any more of the infected that might come around.

Ivan lowered the pipe he held as a look of utter happiness came across his face "Da! I'm not infected," He then up and dropped the pipe all together as he quickly went over to Madeline to embrace her in a death hug. "I thought that no one else was still.. I'm so glad to see that you’re not infected" He pulled away from his crushing hug and would stare at her for a few moments, having still some disbelief that this was actually really happening, that she was really here and not infected. A sudden trouble was seen his violet glints as he remembered that he had lost his way during the storm and didn’t know where the forest was anymore. Russia rose up to his feet as his mood grew worse, making a grave look appear on his face, without any shelter or warmth against this storm he fear they might freeze or have the possibility of wondering into an infected. Reaching out with an open hand, He offered for Madeline to take it "Here, take my hand so we won't get lost" He said with a bit of cheer to try and seem still cheerful as he did.
Roderich ran as fast as he could while silently wishing to himself that he spent more time on exercising as he could hear their footsteps growing closer and gaining on him. Hearing their voice, he almost instantly knew who it was – Monika. Though some part of him wanted to not believe it was actually her. Forcing himself to stop, Roderich quickly turned around to see her. “Monika? Y-You haven’t been infected?” He managed to get out as he tried to catch his breath. “I-I suppose that isn't too much of a surprise since you’d be ready for fight or flight”

Berwald just looked at Arthur and then stood up without his help, dusting snow off himself. "What do you want..?", he asked, not trusting him. He held his pistol in his hand.
Mr. Puffin squawked and flew off in the direction of where Emil was, and flew over the ocean. Luckily, there was a boat conveniently abandoned at one of the docks that Matthias could use to follow the bird with. Emil let out a whimper, hearing noises outside the laundromat. He curled up being a washing machine and shut his eyes.

Arthur took back his hand as he spoke "I just saw you and you didn't look infected," He'd pause for a moment as he thought what he wanted to say "And maybe there's a chance we can work together since theres safty in numbers, right?" Arthur tried to convince him, if he would make a small group together it would be better than the one he had with the useless Austrian, though what would he do if he didn't want to make a group?

Berwald just looked at Arthur and sighed. "Alright fine..", he said, then started walking south again. He was still in shock from Finland's disappearance.

A smirk came across the British man's face as words he wanted to hear were said, this would be perfect for him. Following closely behind the taller man, his mind began to wander onto who else might still be around and kicking if Roderich, of all people, and Berwald were still uninfected. Maybe Alfred or Madeline were still themselves. You're letting your mind wonder, you need to focus. Arthur shook his head and looked ahead to where they were going. "Berwald," Arthur broke the silence "Where exactly are we heading to?"

A relived smile made its way over her look of disbelief and fear at his statement. "I-I'm glad you're no -- !" Letting out a small uff as she was pulled into a crushing hug, moments later hugging him back, but gently. When he released her, Madeline took in a few deep breaths, but as she looked around, her nervous look of fear came back to her. "..This looks like it could v-very well become a whiteout.. " She mumbled quietly over to him, but figured he already knew since he had a lot of experience with weather like this. The Canadian briefly wondered if Ivan had found a shelter nearby and had just lost his way from it. It wouldn't be very difficult to do with all of this snow. She took her attention from the blank horizon and fixed it on the Russian once he spoke again. He seemed to be trying to be cheerful and uplifted, but she could tell that he was troubled indeed, just like she was. With a slight shiver from the cold, Madeline nodded and slipped her smaller hand into his larger one, giving it a little squeeze. She looked up at him with a reassuring smile, trying to be as uplifted-seeming as him. "You might need your pipe for if any infected show up, eh.." She suddenly remembered that he had dropped it in the snow a foot or so away.
"Nein, I'm fine, see?" Monika said after stopping from the running, only a little bit out of breath. She observed Roderich trying to catch his breath, panting inbetween words, and almost laughed. "You know, you should spend more time exercising." The short-haired blonde commented, placing her hands on her hips and glancing over him with sharp blue eyes to make double sure that he wasn't infected. "But even you know zat I'm always ready for a fight. Flight is ze last possible option I like to take.. unlike you." She said with a shrug.
Matthias grinned, swinging his legs off the roof and then taking a large jump from there to the ground. His ankles stung from the force of the impact, but he quickly shook it off and kept running in order to follow the puffin. Seeing as though the bird had started to head across the water, the Dane frowned. How the hell am I gonna swim that far? He thought to himself. His pace quickened from when it had slowed because of this, but he had spotted an empty boat. It was small, but it would do. Matthias grabbed the railing and swung himself aboard, then quickly set the boat up for sailing.
Leon looked disdainful as he heard another noise. Had the thing caught up with him? He slid along the side of the building carefully and slowly, as he didn't see them yet. This was only shortlived though. The infected was perched on top of the roof of the building and was looking down at the brown-haired male, teeth bared and a deadly glint in its practically lifeless eyes. Seconds later, it had jumped and landed on him, causing him to let out a shout of surprise and start thrashing. He felt his fists, knees, and elbows hit soft flesh, and kept doing this, but had calmed down enough to be more concious about where he was striking. A minute or so later, the infected was now limply resting on top of him from where it had pinned him down, lips pulled back in a snarl, but no sound came out. Leon quickly shoved it off of him and ran into the building he had been leaning on. It looked like a laundromat of sorts. He ducked behind a stack of baskets, taking a seat on the ground, and began to breathe in and out very slowly in attempts to calm himself down. This didn't work though, and he began to start sobbing.

The puffin honked louder as more puffins joined him. They were on their way to the country of Iceland. Emil peeked out from behind the washer to see who or what had gotten inside the laundromat. He gasped when he saw who it was. ''Leon! Are you ok!?'' He ran over to Leon and set his hand on his shoulder. Berwald shrugged. ''We are going to find a cure.. then I will get my wife back.''

A sudden flash of remembrance came across Ivan's face as Madeline mentioned his pie having completely forgot that he had dropped it. "I think that might come in handy" He said before letting go of Madeline’s hand for a moment to go over and pick up a pipe that already was starting to get buried in the snow, then would grab her hand again with a smile. Standing back up again, Ivan looked as far as he could with the storm and tried to guess where he originally had come from. Taking a guess where it could be, he started to head off in the direction, gripping Madeline's hand a bit tighter but not crushingly. After a while it began to seem to him that he was walking father than how much he did before finding Madeline, which worried him that this could have been the wrong way. He figured they get even more lost if they went back, Ivan kept walking with nothing actually to tell him this was a right or wrong way, just a feeling in the gut. Slowly something in the distance was seen but was hard to make out actually what it was, curious by it Ivan picked up his pace a tad and it came more and more into view until Ivan would stop being able to make out what it was. Though it was meant to keep them from losing each other, he let go of Madeline's hand and charged straight after a figure standing ahead of them. The figure tried to charge at him once it saw him but was stopped as a metal pipe was hit into its chest forcefully, it then staggered back a few steps. Ivan then smirked and swung the pipe once more, this time at its head. It then collapsed onto the ground without any movement and turning the pure white snow it's head rested on into a crimson color. Ivan then looked to Madeline with a wide grin but would suddenly collapse into the snow as another infected, unseen by the storm, suddenly charged and tackled him from behind.
Roderich gave her an offended look having captured his breath "It was completely reasonably for me to run off when I don't have anything weapons to fight with" He correctly informed her.. "Anyways, I would rather not get that close to one of those.. Things" He quickly fixed his hair that gotten out of place while running before pushing up his glasses a bit. It wasn’t always a bad thing to run away, especially when it would be a situation one wasn't repaired for.. Roderich looked off into the field for a moment and saw there was what seemed to be a lack of someone, not that it mattered much to him, he then studied Monika for a brief moment before speaking again "Are you with another person, or are you alone?" He asked, hoping a bit for the last one.
"Oh, alright." Arthur said without thinking much about what Berwald had actually said. Once it did hit him, he suddenly stopped. "Wait what?!" He shouted in surprised anger "There isn't a cure to look for!" Arthur then felt a sudden weight on his chest when he thought about what he just said and to who, maybe that wasn't the best thing to say in case there was absolutely no cure to be found anywhere. "B-but maybe there is one" He stuttered out with a nervous laugh at the end.
