Hello everyone! You are probably wondering what this website has been created for, no? Well, this thread was created to explain just that!

No images showing reproduction parts (aka nudity).
I do not want any of these images on my website, no matter where it is. I do realize some of you are mature enough to handle it, but I simply do not wish to see any images containing nudity on here. If you really wish to, use the private messaging system only to other people who are comfortable with it.

You may use images that are not yours as long as you do not claim them.

If you are using your own art/image please state it at the bottom of the post.

If they do not take it down or continue to use other member's artwork they will be temporarily banned. Continuing to do this after a temporary ban will result in being banned permanently.

Please limit the number of images you use for character forums.
I do not mind you using one or two pictures for your characters, but please do not stack them. It makes the post unnecessarily long and annoys other members.

There is the exception of a few curse words, unless the rules of the thread specifically states no swearing. Although there are mature sections, that does not mean you can post mature content everywhere on this site. Remember that there is a huge range of ages on this site, I have specifically separated sections in the boards to ensure that certain material/content stays in the correct area.
There shall be no threads created to hate speech ANYTHING.
Not only will this upset a lot of people, it will cause chaos and "wars" between members of this site. Hate speech in general is not allowed on this website and it never will be. I do not wish for members to be picked on for what they like. I have seen incidents like this on other websites, and it is not a pretty sight to behold. No trash talk, mocking, or rude/disrespectful behavior towards any topic or another member. It will automatically result in a temporary ban. Continuing to do so will have you banned permanently from SF.

As stated before, mature content must only stay in its sections of the boards. I have at least 1 folder in every board of the website so there should be no excuses on adding mature content outside of the areas they are suppose to be in.

It makes it much easier for Staff members to address the problem if you report the actual post instead of Private Messaging us. If you wish to rant to us on why it has been reported, or to give more evidence, that is when you private message us. Our staff works hard to keep this site in order, but we cannot do so if we are bombarded with PMs.

I understand that some of you like to make crazy characters, but please do not go "overboard" with them. This applies to cannon characters from fandoms as well. Not everyone views cannon characters the same way, so tone down the level of crazy (unless the character is absolutely nuts in cannon and it is normal).
No Mary Sues/Gary Stus in your stories.
Perfect characters are a no-no in not just roleplay, but your stories too. Nobody likes reading a story where there are characters that never get hurt, or are absolutely untouchable. They can and will get hurt, or even die. Same goes with love. They can be heartbroken, be furious, etc. No relationship is perfect either.

I myself hate it when another person decides to take control of my characters and leave me no choice in the matter. The roleplay becomes boring and worthless when people take control of each other's characters. Please make sure that you are controlling your characters and yours only.

You don't even want to know how many times I have seen a character get run over by a car and walk away like nothing happened, or get stabbed multiple times and not go to the hospital like they are completely fine. Characters can and will be injured, even from petty things like a sprained foot. They can die if a certain amount of injuries or trauma is inflicted to them. Your characters are not invincible, that would make them a mary/gary sue.
Do not kill another player's characters (or yours) without permission from the thread owner.
This could also be another form of power playing, and is also very annoying to multiple people. If you really wish for your character to die, please ask the other members of the roleplay first. They might want said character to stick around. If you still wish for your character to die (and the other members don't), let someone else roleplay them instead, that way it is fair. You don't have to roleplay that character anymore, and the other members stay happy.

This especially happens when it comes to a fan-based roleplay. There are MANY pairings, please do not fight over "which one is better" or try to make sure your pairing happens. While some may ship the same pairing as you, others do not. Please respect their wishes and do not try to push them to pair their character with yours if they do not want to.
